Oregon DEC is Pleased to Promote SIDO’s New to Export Training Program
The Oregon Department of Economic and Community Development (Oregon DEC) is excited to share the State International Development Organization's (SIDO) New to Export Training Program, a valuable opportunity for small businesses looking to expand into international markets. This virtual training program offers expert guidance, hands-on coaching, and actionable tools to help companies craft a strong export strategy and unlock global opportunities.
Program Highlights:
  • Training begins March 9, 2026
  • Weekly sessions throughout April 2026
  • Final coaching session on May 4, 2026
  • Cost: $1800 for two company participants
    (Training fees may be eligible for reimbursement through your state’s STEP Grant Program)

Oregon-Mexico Trade Opportunities for Growth: Business Roundtable

Mexico is Oregon's 2nd largest export market, with considerable grow in the forecast. Senior diplomats spoke on market tends, trade development priorities, and commercial opportunities, featuring:

• Commercial Officer, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Embassy – Mexico 
Behind the policy are practicalities of expanding sales, building partnership, clearing customs, and getting paid.  This program also featured a business panel of Oregon companies actively exporting to Mexico. 


U.S. - Vietnam Business Forum
May 17, 2023 | Portland, OR 

Oregon hosted annual program in 2023.  The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) lead a delegation of about 15 Vietnam companies actively looking to build partnerships with Oregon and US companies, along with Vietnamese government officials.  Activities included a briefing and business-to-business meetings. Organized in cooperation with the Vietnam Consulate General of San Francisco.
